CONTEXT ranks with the IT sector companies recognised in UK’s Best Workplaces™

Innovations in wellbeing and career development secure prestigious accolade

LONDON, 9th May 2019 – CONTEXT, the IT market intelligence company, has been named by Great Place to Work® as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces for the second year.

In the rankings the IT sector scored highly, with Salesforce and Cisco taking 1st place in the very large company category (>1,000 employees). 25% of the companies in the large category (251-1000 employees) were from the IT sector, including Adobe, SAS and other software and consulting firms. In the medium sized category where CONTEXT figures (51-250 employees), 32% were from the IT sector, including an emerging cohort of companies involved in assisting with digital transformation and provision of platform and software as a service.

“With the concern about recruitment and retention, and delivering value, it is important for companies in the IT sector and the channel to invest in making their company a great place to work. Last year’s study by Great Place to Work shows that those IT companies which secure this recognition fill vacancies quicker (48 days compared to 57) and have a higher staff retention rate,” said Adam Simon, Global Managing Director of CONTEXT.

CONTEXT’s ranking (49th in the medium category) is testament to continued progress in promoting a culture of diversity, warmth and trust, driven by strong leadership and a fantastic product.

Over the past 12 months, CONTEXT has launched a series of new teams focused on Health & Wellbeing, Communications and Innovation, designed to improve the working environment, encourage the sharing of information inside the organisation, and to support the creation and execution of new ideas.

The latest efforts build upon high levels of trust and engagement and the unique, welcoming and hard-working culture CONTEXT has developed over the past 35 years.

“We’re delighted to be named one of the best places to work in the UK yet again. It’s confirmation of our continued hard work to put our employees front-and-centre of everything we do, and we’re happy to celebrate that, but there’s always work to be done” said Jeremy Davies, CEO & Co-founder.

Understanding the perspective of employees is key to building a successful workplace environment. That’s why Great Place® to Work determines participating organisations’ rankings via a Trust Index survey® of employees which represents two-thirds of the final score. The remaining third of the score comes from the Culture Audit®, a business-driven questionnaire that uncovers and evaluates the organisation's HR and leadership practices, policies and culture.
