artificial intelligence (AI) reshapes the PC industry, we have
introduced AI-capable PC tracking in our market analysis reports. This
new feature empowers our clients with actionable insights into the
rapid adoption of AI-enabled devices across markets.
Tracking AI-Capable Notebooks: Key Results
Our latest data from Week 43 reveals that
AI-capable notebooks accounted for 31% of sales, a notable increase
from 28% the previous week. This growth was largely driven by Germany,
where nearly half (48%) of notebooks sold through distributors
featured Neural Processing Units (NPUs). This surge was particularly
strong in the commercial segment, highlighting a clear transition to
AI-enabled systems powered predominantly by Intel’s Core Ultra chips.
While adoption is growing across other countries,
Germany stands out for its accelerated shift to next-generation
notebook technology.
Copilot+ Market Developments
In the segment of AI notebooks meeting higher
performance thresholds (Copilot+), sales represented just over 5% of
AI-capable systems in Week 43. Though slightly down due to a one-off
retail event in Italy, this segment is showing diversification in
processor options. Alongside Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X, Intel’s Lunar
Lake and AMD’s Ryzen AI 300 are gaining traction, signalling a
competitive shift in this high-performance category.
Why This Matters for the Market
The addition of AI-capable PC tracking to CONTEXT
